This high output bandmill is the solution to an affordable commercial sawmill operation with its 6" wide double-cut band and ability to cut large logs.
The SELECT 4221 is known for its exceptional quality workmanship and outstanding performance. The unit is the ultimate in sawmills of its class with both user-friendly and high volume production capabilities.
Maximize soft wood and hard wood production with an impressive cutting speed, up to 3 ft per second, achieved with seamless back and forth sawing, high efficiency hydraulic system and computerized setworks.
- Motor: 115 hp (86 Kw) John Deere turbo diesel engine or 75 hp (55.2 Kw) electric
- Blade: 6" (15.24 cm) swage double-cut blade (cuts in both directions)
- Band wheels: 36" (91.44 cm) band wheels with double-tapered bearings
- Complete hydraulic system: Log turner, 2 back posts, 2 dogs, 2 tapers, blade tensioning, blade guide, head lift, carriage feed
- Frame: Heavy duty frame made of 2" x 8" x 1/4" thick tubing (5 cm x 20 cm x 64 mm )
- Cutting speed: Up to 3 ft (.914 m) per second
- Blade lubrification: Automatic electric blade lubrification
- Log size: Cuts logs up to 42" in diameter x 22 ft long (106 cm x 6.7m)
- Computerized setworks: 12 preset thicknesses and two hold and recall memories specially designed for cutting hard wood (optional programmer available)
