The Pistorius VNM Manual Joiner / Underpinner is a sturdy, professional-grade, bench-top machine used for manually joining mitered picture frames and other woodworking frames by inserting V-nails (wedges) into the bottom of the joint.
Key Features and Operation
Operation: The user places two mitered frame pieces against the fences on the work table. A foot pedal is used to activate the top clamp, holding the pieces tightly in place in the corner. The user then manually operates a handle or knob to drive a V-nail into the joint from the underside.
V-Nail Insertion: Multiple V-nails can be inserted along the joint by manually moving the frame along the table and repeating the driving process.
