The Fletcher Alta 99 (also known as the Fletcher-Terry Alta 99) is an automated substrate cutter designed for heavy-duty, multi-material cutting in framing and graphic shops. It is widely used for processing a variety of rigid and semi-rigid materials with precision and speed.
Features & Specifications:
- Automated Operation: Unlike manual wall-mounted cutters, the Alta 99 features an automated cutting head to ensure consistent, fatigue-free performance.
- Multi-Material Cutting: The machine is designed to handle a broad range of substrates, including:
- Foamboard and Corrugated Plastics (up to 1/2" or 13mm thick).
- Aluminum Sheets (up to .040").
- Aluminum Composite (ACM).
- Glass, Acrylic, and Matboard.
- Cutting Sizes: It has been available in several vertical cutting capacities, including 48" (1.22m), 72" (1.83m), and 99" (2.51m).
Accessories & Maintenance:
- Replacement Blades: Standard Alta 99/FSC Blades are typically sold in tubes of 10 and are used for foamboard and corrugated plastics.
- Tool Assemblies: Specialized tool holder assemblies are available for specific materials, such as the Aluminum Sheet Tool Assy for cutting aluminum up to .040".
- Scoring Wheels: Replacement Aluminum Composite Wheels are used for ACM materials.
