From the Seller: "Downsizing and will no longer need. It is actually a foil stamping press also, but one of the heating elements needs replaced. The press still functions well for embossing. It is an automatic 28” x 40” platen press. The feeder works great, and it is also easy to hand feed on small runs. We ended up using this press for our large sheet die cutting instead of the Eterna because our runs were much smaller (1,000 – 5,000 sheets), and the set up much easier."

The Brausse JFS 10250 28” x 40” is an automatic flatbed die cutting platen press. It is a workhorse machine. It shapes heavy paper and cardboard into boxes. It handles sheets up to 28 inches by 40 inches.

How It Works (The Platen Press)
- Think of a giant clam. A heavy steel frame holds your die (a board with sharp metal rules). The machine pushes the sheet of paper against the die with 300 tons of force.
- The Platen: This is the flat metal plate that presses the paper.
- Creasing: The machine does not just cut. It can also crease thick paper so it folds easily into a box.
- Stripping: Advanced models feature triple action stripping. This means the machine automatically pokes the scrap paper holes out after it cuts
